I can't quite remember if I've blogged about these before, I've got some kind of blognesia, but they're pretty enough to be written about twice so it's fine!

I seem to have grown an obsession with old cameras, my most recent buy being a Kodak Colorsnap. There's something lovely about old chunky cameras, the weight of them and the clicks, whirrs and buzzing of the various buttons and wheels.
As an initial starting point I made a list of everything I like and all of the themes that keep appearing through out my work, so here they are...a little long I have to admit but it was nice reading over them once I'd got everything out!

p.s. to be honest this was only half of the list....I think it's too long to post everything!
I feel like it's been a long time since I posted anything work related (on my part I think I've been avoiding the whole work issue. As much as I love drawing sometimes I need a break from thinking about it!)...I've been going through a lot of changes in my major project which I think are going to turn out for the better. The way we're almost trained to methodically work through our projects really helps my thinking process, jumping from a starting point straight into drawing really makes no sense to me. I love to spend a good few weeks collecting images and inspiration from everything around me which is why I'm hoping this new project will work so well. Instead of a completely nature themed brief I've opted for one much more personal to me called "It's the little things" all about the little things in life that make me smile. I guess this makes sense of a lot of the things I post about on this blog...from jewellery to shoes to teacups and cupcakes!
So here's a little preview of what I've been getting up to so far! (A lot of which can also be seen on my Flickr account)

I love things like this...a pair of joke glasses never fails to make me laugh :)
I've been experimenting with pattern quite a bit and came up with these...I guess for greeting cards? I'm not sure I like the outcome too much but I liked the process of making them, I think I'm going to try this one out again!
Oh dear....it has been a while hasn't it? Well, while I prepare to get back to blogging (it could be a new years resolution I suppose?) here are some pretty things to keep your eyes occupied!
