It's a little late but happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrates it! Meanwhile, over here in London I'm definitely getting into the spirit....

I've been at the promo packs again...these are for a few fashion magazines, made up of vintage paper, shrink plastic shoes and jewellery findings, they're "Christmas decorations for the fashionista"
I had the pleasure of happening upon what is quite possibly the best shop I have ever been into...may I present the wonderful world of Shelf to you! Is it possible to want to live in a shop? (For anyone who has been to Anthropologie the answer is surely yes) In the first minute of being there I spotted Camilla's calendar, Rob Ryan's book and tiles, John Dilnot artwork, Katy Hackney jewellery and Jonathan Adler ceramics. Heaven!!
I had to get this mixed stationary pack...just look at the lobster!

Cooking...without food

Thursday, November 08, 2007
I wasn't expecting the response to my post yesterday, thank you everyone for the lovely comments! I am thinking about putting the little box o' birds up on Etsy once I've got myself organized...do you ever get the feeling that you're doing a lot but actually producing very little?!

In the mean time here's a sneak peek at making more little birds...

Before

After

They look so little!

Ooh...ouch!

Wednesday, November 07, 2007
I've spent the last week or so amassing several papercuts building little self promotional goodies. I thought it would be nice to send out something a bit more personal as well as the obligatory postcards so I've come up with these so far...

A net for something I call "the totem pole of fashion" it's a little bit cheesy but I like it!

The "totem pole" built...it needs a little bit of refining

Shrink plastic birds to string together as mini mobiles that will fit into...

If my poor fingers can manage it I'll post more tomorrow!

I know that Christmas is officially around the corner thanks to Starbucks reintroducing their seasonal "Red Cups." (yes I hang my head in shame, my name is Kate and I am a Starbucks addict) and the wealth of gift guides appearing in magazines and on blogs. So I thought I'd do my own little guide to gifts in the UK, little treats that would nicely fill a stocking or two!
