The shoes...oh the shoes! In fact the whole accessories display had me subconsciously planning what I'd fill my bags with when they hit the shops. There were a lot of boots, both heeled and flat (which is always a good thing in my book, heels and I don't mix too well). But the heels that I did see were wedged, chunky or stacked which means I'd probably be able to walk in them without looking like I'm about to tumble over. It was the brogues , "granny boots" as I like to the call them and crepe soled heels that really caught my eye, especially the detailing that went into them. A big emphasis on laces, buckles and trims and worn with socks, so perfect winter footwear.
Satchels and rucksacks featured heavily in a variety of materials from velvet to cord to shearling lined suede.
Richly coloured velvet was on both accessories and clothing, which is great for me because I love fashion that feels nice to the touch. These floral shoes and clutch caught my eye, showing that it can be used in bright as well as muted shades.
Embellishment was key in the Idol collection.
