The phrase "simple things please simple minds" comes to mind when I see pom poms. They never fail to make me smile whatever they adorn.
I've always wondered why lucky people are referred to as jammy, apart from the food itself jam normally has negative connotations like traffic jam or being stuck in a jam. Hmm, it's a jam mystery!
Ah the blossom is out, the sun is attempting to come out and the birds are tweeting early enough to wake me up. Spring is on its way...
After what seems like years of procrastination I'm finally getting around to redecorating my bedroom and my workspace. Now this is where blogs and Pinterest really come into their own. The wealth of inspiration (or perhaps more of an excuse to procrastinate depending on how you look at it) is amazing and I'm keeping online & offline scrap books of ideas to keep in mind. Yes, my name is Kate and I have become a decor addict.
Now here are the kind of things I aspire to. A clean, calm room where I can find everything.
In reality though I'm pretty sure it will be organised chaos with a healthy dose of kitsch thrown in.
These are a good starting point for that!
I've been pondering whether to make this blog more personal. Perhaps selfishly so I can get things off of my chest or maybe it's just because I feel like I don't share enough (other than my illustrations). I feel strange writing about me, which is why my About page is currently made up of pictures rather than words. Hmm, I shall think on it...
I've not been feeling great lately...too much to do and not enough enthusiasm or energy. Hopefully soon I'll be cooking up a storm of ideas...is that even the right use of the phrase? Apologies if not but I drew this doodle and had to work it into a post somehow!
I'm giving the blog a bit of a makeover so please bear with me if it looks a little strange for a while.
In the meantime let's all have a coffee break whilst I try and work out what I'm doing!
I suppose London isn't known for its glorious weather but when it does appear you learn to make the most of it! So, to Hampstead Heath it was last weekend to visit the swans when the sun finally decided to make an appearance.
