Painting in my light and airy studio, nipping out in the sunshine to get a cup of coffee and wandering back, baguette and fresh fruit in my straw market bag. A little far fetched, I know but I can dream.
This is how I imagine myself spending the day in my Margaret Howell wares. Every season I covet her collections, understated, classic and the essence of good British design. There's something serene and calm about her designs as well as the androgynous edge that I love.
I can't say I've ever been inspired by photographs of soap before but I have to hand it to Toast, they look like lovely blocks of jelly (which, by the way, is the best way to eat jelly...in cubes and raw)
Hurrah! It looks like yellow will be making lots of appearances next Spring. Seeing as the UK Summer seems to last no more than a week it will be nice to have a little sunshine around.
Venturing up to Oxford Circus whilst ill really isn't a good idea (I'm a glutton for punishment). I sought refuge in Kaffeine but on my way home I spotted this...
I wonder if designers this season were inspired by what I am now referring to as "Camden Underground Station Blue" ?
It's nice when inspiration appears in the strangest of places.
