After what has felt like an incredibly hectic past couple of weeks I've finally had the time to sit and and make use of some of the crafty bits and bobs I've bought over the last few months.

An illustration I had published in the Guardian Family section last weekend, all about picking samphire on the beach. If only the weather was good enough to do that kind of thing today!
It's a running joke in my family that when we descend upon a hotel we see how many free things we can amass (don't worry, lampshades, bath robes etc are off limits). They usually end up being either jam, pencils (naturally) or the little chocolates they put on your pillow. I'm pretty sure there are flyers with photos of us circulating all of the hotels we've stayed at warning the staff :)
I'm happy to say that my Etsy shop is fully restocked full of new prints...the sun is out and the little birds have gone for afternoon tea! See them get up to mischief with cupcakes, biccies and all things chocolate related (who could blame them?)
Words can't explain how much I want these tiny little vases...everything in my life seems to be made up of things on the smaller scale, I think maybe I was a lego person (or possibly a smurf although I'm not quite Smurfette in nature) in a previous life?!

I just wanted to say a quick hello to any new readers and a big thank you to Heather of wonderful Dooce for featuring one of my prints in her Daily Style section.
To anyone who has been kind enough to email about prints, I am in the process of going through all of my emails and will reply as fast as my little fingers can type! If you don't hear from me please let me know as my head is a little all over the place right now what with the removal of the evil teeth and all.
In the mean time here's a little preview of what is to come...
I've been thinking about packaging for some little self promo pieces...I thought this one was quite cute! And with the bird theme always on my mind, how pretty are these feathery finds?
I ended up going into hospital to have all of my wisdom teeth out in one go. I now resemble a chipmonk, which on the one hand is bad because my face hurts and is swollen but on the other hand, of all the animals you could resemble, a chipmonk is quite cute isn't it?!
So I'm spending the rest of the week resting up and relaxing, doodling and generally lazing around. Have a good weekend all :)
After a rummage around my pen box (way too many for a pencil case) I fancied playing around with a bit of a looser style. When I'm tired I think this style comes a little easier...its warm and sunny here and feels like a lazy day!
