New York, New York a wonderful town...

Tuesday, October 24, 2006

I need some recommendations...in a week I'll be off to New York for the first time, and whilst I'm brimming over with excitement I seem to be overwhelmed by what to do and where to go. So I'm sending out a plea of help...I don't want to just stick to the normal guidebook haunts...can anyone out there direct me in the direction of quirky and different things to do?

Many thanks!

Ack! Where to start?!? Some great neighborhoods off of the island of Manhattan (and easily accessible by the subway) are: Long Island City, Williamsburg, Carroll Gardens, Park Slope, and Red Hook. All have cute shops, great cafes and restaurants, and other sites like museums, galleries, etc. I've written about spots in a lot of these neighborhoods on my blog, and would be happy to give you specifics regarding those that you want more on.

Oooo..such fun! Have a look on Design Sponge where grace has written a great guide to Brooklyn {where it's at on the design front I think...} maybe you'll get some good idea's there? I have never been or else I would pitch in with my two cents worth ;)

Have a great time!!! xx

Oh, I wish I knew about your trip (and this blog!) earlier. How was your trip?

Nice to meet you and thanks for the comments on my jewelry.

I'm loving your posts!
