What with international fashion weeks and the days getting just that little bit chillier, I've been thinking about winter fashion.
I'd very much like hair like this, the bowl cut is back!

I'm absolutely amazed by the work of Katja Gruijters. Katja terms herself a "food designer" who is fascinated by the material of food and drink and the desire associated with it. This has resulted in some beautiful experiments and products, I especially like the apple and chocolate tiles.
Who said playing with your food was bad?!
We don't have J.Crew over here in the UK but I'm pretty sure I'd be snapping up these beauties if we did. I can't get over the colour in the first jacket...so lovely, I'd be wearing it with skinny jeans, oversized shirt and my brogues. Mmm
I forgot to say take a peek at the new issue of the very lovely Small Magazine, I'm one of the featured artists in this issue!
Also featuring a very questionable self portrait of myself :)

One thing my tutors always seemed to have trouble getting me to do was loosen up my drawing style...I don't know whether that was a conscious thing or not, my style always seemed to have been small and detailed. But I'm starting to feel like I should open up my drawing a bit so I've been playing around with new materials and drawing styles I haven't used for at least a couple of years. What do you think? Constructive criticism is always welcome (no angry replies from me, guaranteed!)

I love this look from Alexander Wang...library chic?
Trends I'm noticing so far:
Shirts and tuxedo detailing
Yellow in various shades (though a mustardy almost green tone seems to be prevalent)
Lovely bright red
Stripes (but not as nautical as previous seasons)
Shiny
Shorts (quite a lot at knee length)
High waists
Hopefully pics and illustrations to follow!
Mmmm....
