I think I've become obsessed with flamingos...I don't know whether it's their colour, look or just their kitsch value...I love em!
I've been looking at lighting on Ebay...I think this is my dream lamp for my desk (which is in the process of being tidied..who knew one person could accumulate so much junk in one small space?!)
Ooh and a quick note and apology to anyone who has emailed about prints that I haven't gotten back to...I'm slowly getting through all of my emails but if you don't get a reply soon please email me again...I'm happy to help!
I feel like I've neglected the little birds recently so they're making a welcome return. I've been so busy I haven't had time to think...a well earned break is called for!
Technically these should be doodles of chocolate eggs given the time of year but fruit and veg are so much more interesting to draw (although not necessarily as tasty!)
I fell in love with this post on The Sartorialist and had a go at translating it into an illustration. I love Anna Piaggi's fearless approach to fashion but I don't think I've done her justice...is it me or does this drawing of her look a little...well...strange is the only word I can think of!
Phew! It's been a week of work and deadlines but hopefully it will all be worth it, I'll have a few exciting bits and pieces to show soon!
In the mean time enjoy some pics of vegetables (I have no idea why I got the urge to draw these but I enjoyed it anyway!). I've always found artichokes to be beautiful in a strange way, as demonstrated here, here and here (the final one reminds me of a peacock feather) and after a little bit of digging, I realise I'm not the only one to be influenced by them.
Lovely!!
Some morning doodles...all kitchen themed from someone who generally steers clear of cooking :)
I really want one of these
...I will remain dignified and not finish the rhyme (must....resist)
