Apparently it was the first day of Spring last week. I say apparently because it is FREEZING right now. The sun has been making a fleeting appearance here and there but other than that it is well and truly jumper weather still.
Ho hum, at least we can recreate Spring inside...

I'm more of a coffee girl but I know there are plenty of tea lovers out there. This is for you...
Talking of tea, I'm featured on the fantastic Laura Ashley blog today...some little birds have taken to their teacups!
My birds might be having a little rest but have no fear, these wondrous warbler themed bits and bobs are here to satisfy...
The summer flowers have been replaced with crispy leaves and bare branches. So maybe try a few of these bloomin marvelous finds to bring a bit of that floral feeling back.
After visiting the Rene Gruau exhibition last week (more of which later) I popped into the newly refurbished Savoy hotel. I must admit I'm not a glamourous dresser, I prefer the fashionably dishevelled look (that's my excuse anyway). So I felt a little bit out of place traipsing through there with a huge heart shaped lollipop they were giving away at the Somerset House ice rink. But it is a grand hotel and very traditional in its styling. There's even a little tea salon where you can watch all of the confectionaries being made by a patisserie chef.
As you can see, they've remained true to the original Deco design.
This sign across the road caught my eye too, I'm a sucker for a good typeface.
A couple of bloody mary's later and I was reminded how nice a treat it is to indulge in a winters day warming cocktail, which has in turn inspired today's Gimme Gimme Gimme...

I'm ashamed to admit I don't make the most of London's wonderful parks. Perhaps if I lived or worked near to one it would be the perfect lunchtime escape destination. So in the meantime I'll entertain myself with some park themed goods...picnics and ice creams all round!
No matter how many chests of drawers I buy I still find I have things to fill them with...but with designs like these, by Wis Design, I wouldn't mind having a house full of them.
Not just the namesake of one of my favourite blogs, but also an apt title for a collection of lovely little creatures
I have a terrible habit of ending written sentences with ...
Many apologies!

However, the other week I had an almighty craving for a bright pink Pink Panther strawberry chocolate bar from my childhood, which sadly disappeared from sweet shops (probably down to the neon colour and the "bad food for children" police). I think it was meant to taste of strawberry but it actually tasted pink, much like blue ice lollies taste blue. So by way of overcoming the craving I've been on the hunt for some other nice pink bits and pieces to satisfy me.
They're no choccie bar but equally lovely in my eyes.
Enjoy!

I would love to have a tidy workspace, however the effort to 1. create it and 2. maintain it is almost too much for me to bear. Shopping with having that space in mind is much more fun.

I spotted this on Daily Candy this morning and thought it was such a cute idea that I had to blog about it.
I'm not a greenfingered person at all, many an Ikea pot plant has perished at my hands but I think I could manage these little desktop gardens (you can't kill cress can you?!).

I love the simplicity of everything at Magazyn. I have trouble keeping things simple and uncluttered, maybe looking at things like these would get me off to a good start for the new year!
Cake tray, satchel
Cutting board, vase, bedside glass & bottle
I'm on a bit of a decorating kick at the moment (more on that soon) so I've been buying little bits and pieces here and there as I spot them.
Habitat have been particularly good in terms of knick knacks (or tchotchkes as we refer to them in my family), on my last visit I picked up...

A beautiful laser cut tealight holder, it almost makes up for the fact that I can't have a holiday to see these landmarks
A tiny white horse photo holder (holding some new postcards soon to be in the new shop)

And this little chap, aptly named "Tweet"
